My job starts next week and I’m considering getting on prep. I’m a girl. And since my job is mostly consulting so I’ll be flying a lot in places idk I think getting on prep is good preventative care (in case of r@pe) is anyone else on it that is healthy?
I think taking PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is better, in the event you are assaulted. It’s done after exposure, as the name suggests, but must be done in the next 48-72 hours

Not on prep but here to say good for you. Don’t take the risk, and ignore the assholes. Better to be safe than sorry <3

They make special underwear that makes them hard to take off.

I take PrEP and have a supply of PEP as well!

I would say you don’t need PrEP unless you’re having sex with an individual living with HIV. If something does happen to you and you’re exposed, you can take PEP, but I would say the side effects of PrEP don’t outweigh the risks for the situation you’ve given

Why would flying to different places be that risky? Unless you’re flying in and going to some shady places. But yeah, I think if that is the case, you may look into carrying some self-defense weapons.

Just keep your self safe and that will never happen

I so didn’t see this comment but the infectious diseases doctor told me about this. It’s crazy they didn’t give me this when I went to the er for a sex r kit.

I agree! I like microbiology and I also happen to be gay, so I definitely knew about it and wanted to share. I wish you luck and safety! ^_^
