I’ve been on Zoloft since I was about 13. I had primarily social anxiety, but also just irritability, shutting down, always nervous. I think it’s always worth talking to someone.

I think you have to talk to a mental health professional to get diagnosed but normal drs can prescribe meds. Dm me if you’d like to hear more about my personal symptoms, I have social anxiety

talk to your doctor about it if you feel that way, they’ll talk to you about it and can assign u a light dose depending on what they reccomend and see how it works for you and you can go from there

Before going on an SSRI try buspirone and maybe go to the gym, exercise, drink water, read books, you really can manage your anxiety without medication, I did and even if everyone says you can’t don’t believe them I used to cry every day for months on end. Don’t give up

Going talk to my doctor about anxiety was the best decision I could have ever made for myself. I was really struggling with talking to new people, speaking up in class or doing anything on my own out of fear. My doctor started me on Zoloft and it has truly changed my life for the better.

Always go talk to someone I’ve had anxiety for a long long time but what I will tell you is meds are never worth it it’s a cop out yes it makes things easier but it alters your brain chemistry for life and it can never return to normal so you just gotta put in work and talk to a therapist and learn

Do you feel like the anxiety ever affected you like really bad physically? Sometimes i genuinely feel like my heart is racing so bad I could have a heart attack and my hands shake like crazy. I honestly can handle the mental strain of anxiety but the physical part is really unbearable, sometimes I feel like an anxiety attack could have me end up in an ER

I do get very shaky at times, and people do sometimes end up in the ER for anxiety attacks because it can manifest physically. I think especially if it’s gotten to that point, you should definitely talk to a professional and see about managing it.

Ty so much for your advice twin, I really appreciate getting a second opinion. I was also wondering, with the Zoloft, did you feel like there was any cons/ side effects? Did you notice is contributed to any weight gain or anything?

I didn’t notice any significant side effects, did not experience associated weight gain, anything like that. But of course everyone’s experiences r different and if u start having side effects def let ur doc know.
