Ik some airlines have stuff for ppl scared of planes, see if you can do that. But just get there early have all ur documentation and bring gum for takeoff/landing. It’ll go smoothly don’t worry. The most stressful part is TSA

Just know it’s the safest way to travel. The pilot will never take off without full confidence. Errors are freak accidents. Deep breaths and remember how many times you’ve been in a car. Also — don’t be afraid to tell the crew you have a massive fear of flying. They will get you so right.

the most stressful part is getting where you're going in the airport. actually being on the plane is literally just sitting down in a mildly uncomfortable chair for a while. if you bring a book or a game on your phone or a nintendo Switch or whatever, the flight will be over before you know it.

1. Don’t worry, it’s still safer to fly than drive. 2. It can still be scary though so just try not to think about it and trust the pilot. Remember, they want to survive this trip just as much as you do, so trust them to make the right choices for that. 3. If you start to panic, try to image yourself somewhere else. 4. Your ears are gonna pop, that’s normal

You’re gonna be just fine, coming from someone who travels on planes often. (Been on 6 in the past month). 1. Bring entertainment!! Idk how long your flight is but always bring something to distract yourself. Mobile games, portable cd player, nintendo switch, book—Anything! Even if you plan on sleeping, chances are there will be a second where you’re waiting to get on or off and will need a distraction.

I avoided flying until my twenties because I was so scared. Now I sleep thru takeoff. You got this.

2. You cannot pack liquids greater than 3.4 ounces in a carry on bag. If it’s a check in bag then sure, but they will make you throw it out in a carry on. I usually pack all of my liquids like shampoo, perfume, lotion etc in small tubes you find at the dollar store then put them in a small bag in case TSA finds something wrong and wants to check my stuff out, every liquid’s placed together.

3. If you have electronics in your carry on bag like a laptop, phone, switch etc. just know they’re gonna have you take it out momentarily at TSA. Just so you’re prepared, I would put these items somewhere where they’re easy to grab.

4. Airport food is expensive as fuck. Bring your own snacks if you can. Otherwise you’re looking at the most inflated prices of the century. Just no liquids lol.

5. Make sure you have your ID ready at TSA. It can be a hassle to look for it. And also it has to be a “Real” ID meaning it should have the little star symbol on it

6. If you’re flying internationally with check in bag, I’d get there 3-4 hours early. If you’re flying internationally with just a carry on, I’d get there 2-3 hours early. If you’re flying local with a check in bag 2-3 hours early. And if you’re flying local with just a carry on 1-2 hours early should be enough.

Adding on to this, make sure your documents are in your carry on bag! Don’t put them in your check in bag. It’s a rookie mistake some people make.

Has to be below 3.4 ounces in the carry on. They will make you throw it out otherwise even if you only have a drop left. In the check in bag it’s fair game though!

not on a carry on, but you can with a checked bag. TSA and airlines have a lot of info online about what's allowed and what's not, just look up "[airline] luggage policy"

I totally get that, I would take some meds if you get nervous. In my opinion, the absolute worst part is the initial start. The plane goes really really fast at first and it feels funny lifting off of the ground. After that the ride will be so smooth you won’t realize you’re in the sky unless you look out. I’m not telling you this to make you nervous but just so you can prepare and know what part is “supposed” to be the worst.
