“Communism has never worked” because the US always intervenes. Cuba 1960 economic embargo, 1961 invasion, 2026 threatening sanctions to anyone who sells them oil. Forcing them into such a severe blackout that hospitals are doing surgery with flashlights.

Or because they entered global trade and had so much labor and child labor to make and sell things? Not tryna make a argument against communism but do actually research about what happened that year and what they introduced . It was after they adopted SOME capitalist ideas because they allowed more enterprise and less government control on them. It wasn’t communism that made them money and raised standards

I think that also the regime toppling in Iran was seen as a success for many years which inspired our horrible foreign policy for decades. I watched a very interesting movie about it called coup 52. It was pretty heartbreaking but informative.
