Genuinely what do y’all love about K-pop. It’s gotten very popular but I just can’t get into it. I have even been to a concert, but I don’t understand the obsession

Same, like the music is fun and they have good performances but some people are absolutely insane about it and I just don’t get it

And it gets weird when people infantilize them because a lot of of those people are even younger than them it's so strange

you should look into katseye. they’re a “global girl group” formed by a major kpop label. have a lot of the elements of kpop but with less restrictions and i actually really enjoy watching them perform. i still don’t enjoy kpop but i can understand it a little more now. maybe if i understood korean i’d like kpop but idk

Im not super into it but I would consider myself a fan. It wasn’t really the music itself that got me into k-pop, but more so the dancing and performances. I don’t think the music is necessarily “good” but I enjoy it and find it fun to learn choreo:)

Beautiful people with beautiful voices dancing beautifully it’s great! Obsession I think just comes with anything that targets the teenaged audience.

Yes I enjoyed the performance of the consort I went to, like #1 said upbeat dancy. The fact that the singers were the dancing at the same time was pretty cool. But my Korean is very basic so not being able to understand the language takes away from the experience.

I don’t get obsessing over music videos to learn the dances or telling people that no you don’t understand you just have to listen to this song then you’ll understand the culture. With the concert I went to the group was on our plane and when we landed there was probably 100+ people waiting at the airport at 4am just to view the group. I don’t get it smh

Plot.exe has been lost 😞. Your getting conspiratorial my friend. We’re trying to understand what people love about K-pop not shut down the industry 😅

Ok that’s actually really interesting 🤔. The dancing is such a huge part of genre, I get how you can kinda separate it from the music
