Purposely dense is crazy lol. I’m black and can tell u think isn’t “just asking what sport you like”. If you’re genuinely trying to solve the problem then you’re hurting more than helping by not acknowledging or you’re just being purposely dense lol

just a silly little question that isn’t work related to make their questionnaire not seem so robotic and strictly business. shows a bit of company culture that like they can also be relaxed and personable. many companies might do forms of this in their hiring process
