Deadass, how much money do you think you have to make a year to live comfortably in this economy? Let’s say just you and your partner. I also know that the state matters but I’m asking generally.

In my particular circumstances, which is a $1400/month rent, bills, and helping my partner with his loans, I would say both of us making at least $60k annually would be comfortable.

I make roughly $1,400 every TWO weeks. I am damn tight. Heavily reliant on family support. I think I would need to make ~$2,000 to $2,500 to be comfortable. That math would put me in at around $55k to $60k to live comfortably ( by MYSELF) I live in NC

You said you and your partner. Which only means the 2 of you. And I'm repeating to make sure that's understood. If both you make 40,000 min annually you can make it. People complain about money. But the ones complaining are the most wasteful about it anything

Not to be weird but what state do you live in?

My address is in Kentucky, but I effectively live in Cincinnati as far as CoL goes. Just so you’re not mistaken in thinking I’m in the middle of nowhere lol, because I’d say $40k annually (for us each) to be living comfortably in any rural area here
