Yes, it is. When it comes to the corruption of that industry and the environmental impacts. In Utah right now they are planning to turn 40,000 acres of land into a data center, and virtually everyone in that town is rallying against it because their energy cost soar and the centers don’t even bring many jobs. The politicians that represent them are blatantly pushing back against their own people and green lighting the project because many of the politicians have personal stakes in the project.

putting aside all the environmental impacts that #1 explained quite well, the technology also just sucks. LLMs will ALWAYS hallucinate false info and are programmed for obsequious flattery, not correct information.
