Church groups, adult sports leagues, the gym, becoming a regular at a hobby store, really just anything where there’s a common interest and you can see the same people multiple times works well. You’re not gonna make friends right off the bat as soon as you see someone, but regular run ins turn into small talk, small talk turns into getting to know someone, getting to know someone is what makes a friendship
The kindergarten method is still unpatched, you can literally go up to people, strike up a conversation, and then be like “wanna be friends?” Works the best when you’re both new to a situation you’re in (new class, new job, first club meeting, etc.). You can compliment people or find a common interest to start the conversation.
