How are we dealing with anger issues and not blowing up? I’m still living at home and I’m trying so hard to be respectful but it’s getting to the point where it’s becoming an issue

i never ever click yikyak notifs but had to cuz this hit too close. tbh therapy & medication changed my life w this bc my family is so difficult. just try to breathe & imagine ur elders as kids- that way it’s easier to soothe the anger & think about how it’s their first time living too

I'd recommend making sure you're not consuming anything that could be riling you up (like Celsius or excess caffeine). At one point in my life I had extreme anger issues and coincidentally drank Celsius regularly at the same time. I had no idea it was the Celsius until I bought some since my main energy drink was unavailable and the anger issues reappeared

Maybe you're just fed up with living under your parent's roof but don't have the financial means to solve that?

My sis had anger issues and the strategy that works best with her is that she just removes herself from the situation. So if she feels herself getting emotional then she leaves the room or stops talking with that person

The recommendations you got so far are all good. I’ve been respectful all my life, but what took ppl to take me seriously was to crash one good time- in a respectful way, setting boundaries. It makes them realize that you ARE an adult and respect should go both ways.

Saying that helps no one. Yes there are people who are going through more, and we should do everything in our power to help others, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore our own problems. Invalidating people’s feelings leads to them bottling it up and eventually developing behavioral issues and/or isolating themselves
