I've never seen anyone get shamed for wanting kids but I've definitely seen people get shamed for being weird about it

People see settling down as boring, especially the more neurologically/mentally immature they are. They think you are wasting your life or cutting your youth short by having kids. Also, some people think bringing kids into a world in this state is unethical. There’s a lot of doomsday/apocalyptic culture in our generation, because we were taught the world was ending due to global warming and covid and all that. Granted some of it is warranted but I still have hope for the future, however small 😭

They say I am selfish, that I should focus on my career (which I do, I work in finance), that it’s bad to have kids nowadays because of how bad the state of the world is, etc.
