
She was upset because Walmart wasn't the "safest building around" and that I should've found a better building. Thing is I go to school hours away from home. She doesn't know the area so where I was, the best place to be was probably that Walmart. She told me it would've been safer to drive to a more secure building but that feels more dangerous in the end..
Nta I guess 😭? If you’re safe there’s really no need for the conversation to continue and like you said, if that was the safest building you should go there especially if the sirens already went off. It’s more dangerous to try to go to a building further away during the warning (I assume. We don’t have tornados where I live)
moms love to nitpick things you do because they would’ve done it differently (at least from my experience) i think growing up and becoming an adult through college and all that though means we’re not dumb and often we know what’s best for us, but moms will always worry and offer sometimes valuable insights on life, but you gotta trust yourself first
