Update, i did call it in to the local firemen. They sent 2 FIRE TRUCKS and about 3 other cars either fire officials and a squad car! The FIRE TRUCKS HOSED TF out of that neighbors house and he was fined $150 for ignoring the no burn warning.
There was a “no burn warning” in my area. The environment was super dry and even a small fire could start a forest fire! Neighbor decided to do a MASSIVE BONFIRE. AITA for calling the firemen on him? (Firemen came and hosed down the bonfire).

there's a time and place to be a "snitch" and this was 100% the time and place to do so. you may have stopped a catastrophic event. period queen

You potentially helped stop a massive wildfire. You’re definitely NTA

Thank you #4 and #5! I agree! That was my logic too! I much rather “be a snitch” than watch the entire neighborhood and acres of forest burnt to ashes.

That’s a low fine to have two fire trucks visit

That’s not even a big fine, they should have gotten worse tbh… how can you be so careless? Definitely nta

You did the right thing!!!!! U didn’t know the house would be hosed and Your neighbors should have listened to the warning.

I’m p sure it’s illegal to have a bon fire regardless of a fire ban or not.. and when schools do it they have firemen on deck and get permits through fhe fire department to ensure it remains controlled. In fact in boulder there’s a permanent no open burning law.. you did the right thing

It wasn’t even the house it was just their fire pit or whatever they were burning.

If you would ignore no burn warnings then no one would ever wanna live next to you either. It wasn’t a noise complaint, it was a real safety concern.

My sister’s friend decided to mind her own business and the house next door quite literally BLEW UP😭now their (the friend’s) house is missing a whole wall, crumbled in on itself, and they weren’t allowed to go in to get any of their personal property, all of them just had to leave and move back in with their parents or find a couch to crash on with zero clothes/etc
