i probably shouldn’t even be doing this but i asked my roommate not to leave out an object in the kitchen that i’ve said can trigger my PTSD. he said he didn’t do it and now doesn’t wanna talk to me. couldn’t handle him acting like i don’t exist so i left

i wanna know what i did wrong but i just kept spiralling so im staying with family right now. i want to go home and i want to know how i hurt him so i can fix things. it’s been about three days.

You did the right thing by leaving. It doesn’t matter how weird the object may seem, if it triggers your PTSD, then it should absolutely be put away, and he should have no problem putting it away. He’s being an immature asshole by not putting it away and not talking to you. If you can’t talk it out, then get away from this person, because it’s not worth living with someone like that.

i think he’s been kind of sensitive about it because it has to do with his animals, and he warned me it might be an issue. he has a lot of animals and the trigger is animal poop. someone left a box with mouse droppings in it (container for snake food) on the table. he’s gotten a little upset in the past when i’ve asked him to keep it away from me
