AITA for being upset my bf said “probably not” when I asked if he’d be able to help me pay our bills this month? This isn’t even taking into account the amount of food I buy :(

Also, for reference, I am disabled so I can only work part-time and average around 1300 a month so this is where ALL my money goes. My bf does DoorDash

Idk what job he has but the fact that not only your his date but disabled too, and he’s not even making an effort to really pitch in is crazy. I understand that this economy is crazy but you’re spreading yourself thin. If he doesn’t treat you good at your worst then he’s not the best one. It would be different if he was like ‘oh it’s tough on my end but I’ll make it work’, but flat out saying he can’t? 🚩

Not the asshole and I'm going to be frank, but you can take this with a grain of salt since I have limited context of you two, but I would honestly leave him. Him not contributing as a pattern is just incredibly wrong, especially when you're disabled (I am also disabled)

Honestly I moved states away from my family and everything. I can’t drive either. I’m worried about becoming homeless if I did that since I can barely work as much as I do :( apparently his mother said that she thinks I take advantage of him which pmo cause I def feel if anything it’s the other way around

Well imo his mother can suck my dick idk. As far as all of that I am so sorry I understand that completely. Is there anyone you can reach out to or resources near you?

Ironically he worked much more when I had an ACTUAL job at 2000+ a month before my health tanked which makes absolutely no sense to me

Oh honey :( I don't want to assume anything but this sounds like it's directly because your health tanked? It's unfortunately all too common for men to leave their partners when they're sick etc. I hope that's not why but it's sounding like it. I hope everything gets better for you whatever happens.
