AITA for not wanting to do the fucking dishes?? At my job I work either 7:30-6 or 8-6, waking up at 5:30-6 to get there on time. I stand all day and then my dad gets pissy when I don’t wanna do dishes every night. He gets home at 4:30-5 and sits all day

Keep in mind, I’m not going and playing video games and really have no hobbies rn bc I just lay on the couch and fall asleep until I go to bed. I’m not enjoying time, I just don’t want to stand and am in pain

In the same boat, if you’re not contributing in any other way on the house hold just wash the dishes. It sucks but you just gotta do it

Also, when I was younger, they would say it’s because they work, which makes sense but now I’m working more hours with more physical labor. And I’m not saying my mom should do because she’s the one that cooks, I think my dad should be able to stop watching TV and do the fucking dishes.

OK, I really do contribute a lot as my mother is blind and I help get her to the store or I go to the store for her after work. My father does not contribute to the household whatsoever. He comes home and drinks and watches TV. And before anyone gets upset that my blind mother does the cooking, she really loves cooking, and we have a blind accessible home for everything. Even the spices are specifically categorized just for her.
