I mean maybe. But also take a hint? I’m having a problem with a guy who keeps texting me and asking me on dates and I’m trying to be gentle and friendly but every time I’m “nice” he takes it as interest and from a 3rd party perspective, it’s clear as day I’m not interested. It’s hard to let somone down gently when they are idealizing a relationship before one has even developed.

Because we share common circles. A lot of them. And I don’t wanna make future social gatherings awkward. And I’m pretty sure rarely replying to him gives off the not interested vibe. So I’m doing just that

would you rather someone you like give you replies here and there or just tell you something straight up? he's excited you even keep replying. just flat out say i'm not interested. it's not awkward to reject someone in a common circle but it definitely is when you keep avoiding them

I’m the opposite you reject me and I will avoid those social gatherings all together. So not everyone sees things the way you do. And if I am wrong and he’s not into me then I’ve compounded the issue
