Old friend just hmu it’s been years. we used to vent/talk abt everything. But then he started turning convos to dating topics. I got annoyed he changed cut him off. I don’t have time for all that. Especially now. We can talk if idk abt being friends again

not sure exactly what “he changed cut him off” means, but if he was demonstrating actual care or interest about you and you just cut him off, maybe that wasn’t needed? On the other hand, after years, a former (guy) friend hits u up just to date? that makes your reaction sound a bit more justifiable, not sure which it is

Like I’d be venting abt my professor doing too much, or work drama he would immediately turn the convo to my dating life or ask me who I’m seeing etc. When It never used to be like that. I already told him I wanted to stay as friends. Bc we were friends for 2 years I don’t have feelings etc. He kept being weird. I was like yeah I’m over this. It’s been a few years since we’ve talked he just reached out.
