I don't think you're the asshole But also I can't kiiiiinda see where your mom is coming from Like ok tickets to Hamilton or a VR headset, more expensive but it feels more worth that amount. $70 for posters feels like a lot to me. Well- actually I guess it depends on how many posters. I feel like I usually see posters for 10-20 so if it's like 4 posters that's not that bad really. But yeah either way nta

NTA, I think it’s weird that she’s not willing to buy one of the only specific things you said you wanted. Not sure what the underlying issue is, it could be that she doesn’t understand why you value the posters so much and/or doesn’t respect your taste
