this is such a petty thing to be fighting over, genuinely think about not renewing your lease together if it's gotten this bad. just keep it in the bathroom or something if you still want to share it, it's a just scale not anything that important

We got in an argument months ago bc I ALMOST made her late for an appointment she had. I didn’t have a car for almost a year & one day when she came to pick me up from work, I didn’t know she was waiting outside(my phone was dead & I had it charging but it hadn’t turned on yet) so I started some online work until she came in & started yelling at me. Yelled at me the entire car ride home so I got mad & never apologized for ALMOST making her late. So we haven’t been on friendly terms since then.

The scale thing though, I kept it in the hallway between our rooms, on the side closer to my room just outside the door bc we both use it. I had it there for SEVERAL months & she never said a thing about its placement. A couple weeks ago it disappeared but I didn’t think anything of it bc I was busy & not on my diet so not monitoring my weight closely. I few days ago I asked her what happened to it & she said it was in her room. I asked if I could go get it from her room & she said yes.

On my way out of her room she said “& you can give me back my….never mind I’m not gonna be childish” sighed dramatically(something she does OFTEN when she’s mad at me) & went back to her cooking. I put it in my room & immediately noticed that I didn’t have to step on it 3 times before it weighed me so I put the pieces together that she had changed the batteries & that’s what she was about to ask for.
