Idk where else to put this but “not every bear wants to hurt you but every man wants to grape you” is a wildly untrue and trash take. You can be cautious but saying EVERY man wants that? Fine, leave your bf. No? He wouldn’t do that? Then not all men do

Btw this was after a man vs bear question when I asked what kind of bear and what season. Bc some bears are more deadly and certain seasons they are more aggressive. I also asked if I knew the man and she said it didn’t matter bc ALL men want to do that to us. Umm no I don’t think they do girlie. Like sorry I asked for specifics on a hypothetical??

Yeah i hate when anyone assumes birthright morality. Its how were taught. And telling people theyre doomed to be bad just makes them feel like thats the only choice they have

she very obviously shouldn’t have said that, but your post negates the whole message behind the “man or bear” scenario. the entire point is that men are capable of cruelty, and that women have reason to be cautious. while what that girl said is objectively insane, saying “not all men” in reference to this is so tone deaf

I don’t agree with her specifically saying every man wants that, but unfortunately knowing the man truly doesn’t make much of a difference

Ur more likely to be graped by a man you know well than a man you dont know. They hide their true nature until youre trapped [obligatory not ALL OF THEM but enough of them that i dont trust em]

True. The real thing that needs to change is how we raise and socialize men as a society

…bears are very capable for cruelty too. Brown bears will immobilize you and keep you alive as they start to eat you. They don’t kill you first. I have better chance fighting off a man than a brown bear. That’s why I asked the bear type. I’d rather not be eaten alive, and a black bear I feel I have a chance of scaring off. And claiming all men want to hurt you is insane. Sure they have capability to, but so does EVERYONE and EVERYTHING

i literally said myself that what she said was insane, at no point have i disagreed with that. we can interpret animals actions however we want, but the fact is that humans are one of the only species capable of acting with mal intent and statistically men are more violent than women. my point still stands, and you’re weird for trying to minimize the meaning behind all of this just because of one girls comment

There are many animals who act on ill intent and grape others. Not saying that makes it ok for humans to do at all, just bothers me when people say that when it is not true. There are animals who kill when it is not needed as well. Again, not ok for people to do, just bothers me bc it’s not true that it’s only humans. (I work with animals)

working with animals doesn’t make you an expert in zoology and a single google search will prove you wrong. there is a difference between instinct and calculated malice, and very few species are intelligent enough for the latter. (none of which are bears!). i’m not going to keep going in circles with someone who’s deliberately missing the point

Why are you comparing intelligent human decisions with wild animals brother

People compare to animals all the time my guy. I was pointing out that many animals do partake in things that we determine to be morally wrong (which they ARE wrong that’s not a debate). There are animals who do participate in calculated malice and it’s not just instinct.
