Imagine equating legal to right. The standards say the doors must remain closed and latched in an accident because not having doors means almost guaranteed horrible death. Jeep are exempt from these rules because the doors “aren’t considered structural components” btw IIHS does not test jeeps without doors and even with them their expert safety ratings were not impressive. I’ll quote them for you, “the back seat passenger would likely receive severe head and neck injuries” for an adult dummy.

Children are fragile. Children cannot handle the brain damage that comes with being thrown off a bike and injured the way an adult might be able to. There’s a difference between putting your kid on a dirt bike in a big yard and riding on an open road with cars. No matter how safe YOU are, you literally can’t always account for another driver’s stupidity. It’s great you didn’t get hurt as a kid, but that doesn’t mean what you were doing was SAFE.

Definitely not. A kid in my class in grade school was riding one with her dad and fell off. She had scars all over that will never heal and is lucky to have survived. Kids shouldn’t be on motorcycles. That should be common sense
