I’m in a strange position; i a 20 yr old f, am in a long distance relationship. I love him I do. We go to colleges in different states so it’s hard to say the least. He comes and visits but it’s still hard. He’s a very strong moral man. (Cont in comments)

I am a of course college girl and I want to go party and drink (he hates drinking and ik im underage) anyway. When he visits I feel like an old version of my self. I want fun, I want to party and have fun and of course love but it’s hard. I find myself liking attention I get and wanting a closer connection with a friend closer. NOT CHEATING. I don’t condone that. I don’t lead it on. But I feel drawn to it. More than “hey how was your day” We’re just both so busy. I don’t want to loose him.

I don’t know if you’re wanting him as a long term relationship, but people change and you guys won’t fall in love with the same person you once did. You’ll fall in love again and again throughout life. You’ll need to show him that you’re changing as a person, and if he doesn’t like it, then it may be time to part ways. Why be with someone if you can’t truly be yourself?

It sounds like you two just want different things. I was in a long distance relationship through most of college, and it worked because neither of us really cared to party or anything like that. As far as wanting a closer connection with someone, I’d definitely tell him about that. Just let him know where you’re at. Communication is all you have in long distance, so I encourage you to focus on that

He doesn’t have to partake in drinking, but just be supportive of your ‘hobby’
