I’m like this as well… but a lot of it is based on childhood experiences. Vacations make some who already feel out-of-control feel even more so, and children are often made to feel bad for making suggestions, attributing it to being ungrateful

i felt so bad on my last trip because i didn’t want to do anything and it was all so expensive and last minute but i got a combo elevation sickness and motion sickness every time we went somewhere and then got covid on the way home- i was miserable 😅

Try having someone that was invited on a trip invite someone to the chat for the trip without asking the planner

The person that didn’t say anything probably knows you’ll just be mad and nonverbal doing what they want to do. It’s probably a catch 22 that they decided they would endure instead of disappointing you. If they are important to you, talk to them and find a solution for the future.
