absolutely not. this was a respectful request written with concise language, and its not an unreasonable request. I would have emailed too, starting 5 minutes early just does not make sense, especially for those who commute.

Well giving numbers almost suggests that you think he’s gonna say “yeah so what a couple students miss?” If you don’t provide that data. If you just say a significant portion of students come right at 10:30 then you suggest you think he’ll find that valuable even without exact numbers

he was nice about it im just tryna learn ! i go to class, i sit in the front row, i dont go on my phone, and if needed i participate. ljke theres really nothing he can be mad about… also it is his first class ever teaching at this university so it may just be an adjustment thing

Oh that def makes a difference! If it was like a more seasoned (old af) teacher they tend to be stuck in their ways and are offended by students breathing the wrong way according to their syllabus. But if they're new I'm sure they actually appreciated it!
