Drunk mistakes are always the drunk person’s fault. They made the decision to drink and put themselves in a spot where they are vulnerable to doing stupid shit. It sounds like you went above and beyond the call of duty as a DD and THEM misplacing THEIR phone is THEIR fault. This goes for any substance. Only exception being if they were forced/spiked cuz duh

Unless he gave it to you to hold and you lost it, its not your fault. Yeah he's drunk, but he's still responsible for his actions, that's the risk of being drunk. Also, one thing me and my friends do when we go out is we share our location. Idk about android but apple has a feature where we use Find My to locate the phone if it's nearby. Really helps if someone gets lost or loses their phone.
