When I got mine pierced my bottom lip was swollen for a week. Cold compress works and cleaning the piercing is essential. The bars look small probably due to the swelling because they actually downsize them after 3ish months. There’s nothing wrong in being concerned and if it really worries you, talk to them about it!

if they just got pierced, it’s gonna be swollen, that’s just how it goes. I’m sure shes aware of the safety concerns, but you could ask about it in a friendly way
