About 30 hours ago, I receive an email from my apartment saying I was getting a new roommate and she was going to move in today at 10 am. Normally, I get a weeks notice of them assigning new roommates instead of less than 24 at the time and also normally, unless the lease starts in August or January or someone relet, normally there is no new roommates this late into the school year. Before receiving this email, my boyfriend was living with me (illegally) but that’s because we are broke

I informed her, with the number they gave me, that my boyfriend lives with me and that if she’s not cool with that then we would start looking for cheap apartments for him and just to give us grace and time . I told her this 29 hours ago. I never received a message back. I was out for school all day today and my boyfriend only had work. He left work at 5 pm and that’s when they started moving in. That same time, in class, I received a lease violation for unauthorized guest.

I start messaging my boyfriend about this and he says he knocked on the door and just asked them about the text I sent and any elaboration on the situation. He tells me that all the mom says is “You know as a mother” over and over again, but that’s really it. About an hour later, I received another email giving me the specifications of my violation as well as other stipulations saying that my boyfriend is banned from the apartment complex because he was an unauthorized guest AND

He was “harassing the new resident” and that he has been here for 5 months (less than 2 irl, which is still a violation, but the mom has been saying some incorrect stuff to get her way). Mind yall, I receive both emails within an hour and within that hour is when my boyfriend meets them for the first time. Currently, he is crashing at a friends place because the email said if he didn’t move out by tomorrow morning that I would get evicted

But this new roommate is tryna be all buddy buddy now as if all of that wasn’t my first impression of her and her mom. I understand I violated the lease, but they moved in 5-6 fucking hours ago, were uncommunicative, and immediately started some fraudulent shit. I’m not buddy buddying with that. AITA?
