Me to be happy so I should never have a relationship again. She saw me with my fiancé and approached her when I was I the bathroom. She made a scene with her and when I told her to leave us alone she grabbed my steak knife and that’s when I slapped the hell out of her. She’s in jail now and I just want my fiancé and I to be at peace

I'd say never hit a woman EVER unless it's self defense, so the steak knife saved you man. Just avoid her, threaten to sue, call it harassment, call the police when she makes a scene. But don't put your hands on her unless you're in danger. Sorry that happened
