Last summer, a cat was starving meowing for food. My mom fed him for two months and we knew another neighbor who has six cats of their own was feeding him too. That neighbor told us another neighbor had left the cat after they were evicted. Ten months…
…and now there is a missing posters for a cat resembling the cat but with different nose freckles. After two months of feeding him we took him in, got him shots, had surgery on his cut up tongue, and made him an indoor cat….aita?

What are you asking? Because you just said the missing cat had different nose freckles

That’s what I’m thinking, if you genuinely think they’re different cats, then there no issue.

Honestly I don’t think you would be TA even if it was somehow the same cat, people don’t wait two months to put up missing posters, at two months they’re already not getting found in most cases.

Oh it’s been ten months since we took him in and now the posters are up. We took him in after two months of seeing him around and feeding him

oh then it’s 100% a different cat, you have nothing to worry about. Did they check for a microchip when you took him in for shots?
