i’m assuming you met your friend when you were younger, as teens are very physical with one another in a platonic way. unfortunately, that kind of behaviour becomes less comfortable as you grow older. you will understand once you have a partner of your own, you won’t really feel the need to cuddle anyone besides them. so, for the people in the relationship it is very weird and definitely makes you seem like you are doing it for romantic/sexual reasons.
