AITA For telling Alexa to shut up? My parents have like 3 Alexa devices of some sort throughout the house. My girlfriend's name is Alexa so whenever I talk about her, the device goes off. It genuinely pissed me off that I can't even say her name so I've-

i have an echo dot that sometimes goes off when i say alexa without thinking, and my immediate reaction is “ALEXA SHUT THE FUCK UP I WASNT TALKING TO YOU.” in summary, NYA

Started saying "Alexa shut up" anytime the device activates. Now you're probably asking why we haven't changed the robot's trigger yet and that's because my parents don't like the other options and I'm not allowed to change it. Soooo yeah my mom is now mad that I'm telling a robot to shut up. Is that actually rude? I don't talk to anyone else that way, it's literally just the bot.

LMAO whenever my girlfriend is over and I say her name, she yells "SHE'S NOT TALKING TO YOU" to the device
