you're not a bitch & NTA. the whole house had an agreement and they broke the promise anyway, and their reaction to your normal follow up is not okay. document everything plus receipts. also not cool to put into jeopardy everyone's living arrangement because landlord doesnt know whats going on.

You’re not the asshole but I will say you guys fucked up by letting them move in with the thought they can’t contribute to rent from the get go. When living with other people you have to have clear cut boundaries and expectations saying he needs to pay rent then letting him move in before getting that rent fucked you over. Not to mention since you guys all technically made an agreement you can’t just threaten to report them out, I’d make plans to get new roommates or at least ditch those two

NOT the asshole. My boyfriend has 2 roommates, one roommate had their partner(s) live with them for about a month - it was CLEAR they had to all split rent, not 4+ ways… but from the existing roommates rent (the one w the partner(s)). They WERE expected to split water, gas, etc fees tho amongst everyone (4+). Talk with your roommates. It’s unfair to not split costs in that sorta situation.
