Nta. My dad is on this same shit and idk why. Personally if I was the 40yo coming to stay at someone’s house I’d be mad uncomfortable taking someone’s bed, especially if it wasn’t even their idea. Plus it’s just weird to sleep in someone’s bed, a couch is much better

Idk in my culture you treat guests the kindest youre able to, so I personally probably would. Also 2 days will suck but it IS only two days

Used to have to give up my bed as a kid ( 6-8yrs old ) and I think you’re right to be salty but it’s an up in the air sitch depending on the people. I am a firm believer in the more able bodied person taking the couch.

he’s a guest in your house tho? idk i think it’s cause of how i grew up but its expected to allow them to comfortably stay in your home while they visit and it’s only two days of sleep on the couch i don’t think you’re an asshole and you’re allowed to be salty but it’s lowk not that deep idk

No matter what age I am, I will always refuse to take someone’s bed. I’m not putting anyone out in their house. In fact, I bring a blow up mattress whenever I’m visiting friends or family just in case.

Lowkey disagree. Like yeah many can but also a hotel is a decently large expense for a lot of people. Always better to stay with family and save the money in my opinion

Honestly it’s a thing in my culture too, but it typically applies to older people (grandparents etc.) And it’s expected that parents are the ones who give up their beds.

I second. Guests should be treated with respect and made to feel comfortable when staying with you. Imagine how you would want to be treated when you’re visiting someone’s house. But you’re def allowed to feel salty ab it
