AITA for ghosting my friend for a few days because I can’t deal with her boy drama when I am trying to get myself in a better mental place? she is aware I am not in a good mental spot and still makes every call about what guy she had over or drunk called

Wouldn’t say you’re TA, but it’s probably worth directly telling her you’re not interested in hearing boy drama right now. She may think it’s a fun distraction and not realize that it bothers you.

Make your struggles and boundaries clear to her one last time, and if she doesn’t respect that I would cut her off.

what sucks is i’ve known her since we were kids, and she has her own shit going on, but i feel like she doesn’t take my stuff as serious

she’s telling you stupid boy drama after you just got out of a bad relationship instead of… hmm lemme think real hard for a sec idk COMFORTING YOU?? if you keep telling her off about it and she keeps doing it then she doesn’t respect you on the same level you respect her and you need to cut her off

as someone who lost four friends of 14+ years when i was 17: losing them was the best thing that could have happened to me. the group had a very toxic dynamic and it affected how i treated other people (which was horrendously), how i viewed myself (which was horribly), and how i thought i deserved to be treated by the people i loved (which was cruelly). do what you think is best for YOU, not her

No its not. Ppl die from bad mental health but it starts small. Like a water faucet dripping constantly.
