Can’t say that I fully agree, because there can be many many reasons for somebody to resent their kid, and that might not be the main one for some parents. But I do think you are right. There are many people who have this mindset that they “must have kids by this age” and they basically try to force it to happen. I KNOW THATS NOT EVERYBODY but there are a lot of people that way. To me, that feels like you are bringing a life into this world when you may not be fully prepared, just to check a box
