honestly jobs that give you your schedule 2-3 days before are ssa and imo unprofessional. but finding a new one is harder. but also OP can I ask wym by things out of your control? bc if it was an accident or something, you should always be leaving in case those happen regardless. but if was a family issue then i understand

Ok, he sent the schedule apprx. a week before, and it’s the wrong one. I didn’t point it out bc 1, it’s too obvious I expect someone else to tell him that in person, 2, I’m not working on the next 4 weeks so it wouldn’t affect me so I didn’t bother. This afternoon I received a phone call saying I’m not at work, while I was packing for home. I told the person on the phone that the manager sent a wrong schedule, and even it’s the right one I shouldn’t be in there bc I told him weeks ago that

That I’m going home on jun 21 - July 21. Exact dates & told him in person. Even watched him put me down in notes. As I said this happened multiple times before on me, I’m not sure if other employees have been wrongly documented. His wording here, as I would assume everyone would feel the same way, extremely irresponsible. Like wtf u mean “I made a mistake, and if u didn’t come to work, it’s on you”????????😭😭

Similar situation #1: he told me, twice, to meet up “tomorrow”,on a Saturday,so I obviously came on Sunday. Then a worker told me that he doesn’t work on weekends, and he told the worker, which later told me that we scheduled on Monday. My adhd ass at that time said ok I’ll come again, despite this sudden change, cuz we all make mistakes right?but forgot it on Monday cuz of finals. Shouldn’t have agreed then.

Then later he said I will be fired if I forget another meeting or a shift, because I “came on the wrong day”. Completely ignoring what I told him in another email, that it’s his mistake in the first place. How do u have the audacity to just fuckin lie?? To say that I come on the wrong day?? That fuckin hard to admit ur wrong?? Ok im ok with ur fragile ego, but blaming others for your mistakes??? Is this a serious person??

They gave us the right schedule AFTER the week has started, fyi. Someone called me to come to work this afternoon, TAHTS when they noticed that the schedule he sent us is wrong after I explicitly told them in the phone call. Then we got this bullshit. “I made a mistake, it’s on you.”

yea boo, try to find another job. i had a job like this. it was restaurant work. they forgot to make the schedule for the week and tried to make it on sunday while i was already at my second job that gave us the schedule 3 weeks in advance. i told them the days i worked my second job(already established and had never been a problem before) and they were still trying to schedule me so i just quit😭
