AITA for talking to a guy my friend used to like? My friend liked this guy during freshman year of high school we are now sophomores in college. For context my friend is a gay man the guy is straight and my friend stopped liking him after freshman year.

The reason I’m kinda torn on this is because my friend still occasionally brings up how much he hates this guy because he rejected him in high school. Should I not talk to him? In a sense I feel like it doesn’t matter because they never dated but I’m not sure

Yeah because when he asked him out he bought him gifts and things and was upset he wasted his money even though he knew this was a straight man and i told him it wasn’t a good idea and it was manipulative to give him gifts to sway him to say yes 😭

He would probably be mad but is that reason enough to like stop? I’m moving abroad in the same country the guys in so it would be nice to know someone
