i only rlly tip when the tip is the only money they make (servers who get paid 2/hr)

I can comprehend tipping your server, cause they spend more than five minutes with you out on top of that they get paid less than minimum wage. However, these other places like the ice cream shop you get minimum wage at the minimum I used to work at one and I got the minimum wage and never expected a tip.

because they make at least minimum wage…servers don’t. unless the ice cream scoopers gave me amazing service, i’m not tipping them for getting a scoop of ice cream and putting it in a bowl or cone for me

Why would you tip at an ice cream shop? "Oh thanks for doing your job of scooping ice cream" like??? You don't even have to have amazing customer service skills to do that

I worked at an ice cream shop and occasionally made complex dishes for customers but I never expected a tip. The people who would tip were grandparents who brought their grandkids in and they only tipped in cash
