aita? I'm non binary, specifically I'm cool with being called whatever just not she/her or a girl in the sense that I'm being told I am a girl. What I am fine with are jokes like being told "go piss girl" or being called "girly pop" by my friends (cont..)

I think it is 100% fair to ask your roommate to stop calling you that and if you wanted to even call her out for giving her boyfriend “permission”. You deserve to feel respected and comfortable, especially around the person you live with.

BECAUSE they awknowledge my identity and know what I like/dislike in regards to how I'm addressed. Even my 60 y/o dad gets it. My roommate of course has been given the same "pass" as my friends but recently I've kinda wanted to revoke it. She's started blaming me for small messes that I didn't make and she constantly texts me at work starting with "Hey girl" to complain about some new mess I didn't make because I don't freaking eat tomatoes and the mess looks like tomato sauce! My breaking-

you can straight up tell her or can remind her like “hey i’m nonbinary remember? not a girl” i do stuff like this as a warning/ reminder to keep peace. but definitely tell her you felt uncomfortable with her bf calling you a girl.

Point was when her boyfriend called me girl. I don't like him, never have.. And when I asked him politely not to call me that, he said that my roommate gave him the go ahead (not me!). So now I'm thinking about revoking the "girl pass" from my roommate. This is such a non issue I know but I always question the boundaries I want and I need outside thoughts.
