as a conservative woman, i dont believe you are an asshole for that. while i agree and disagree with some things charlie kirk said, if you don’t agree with someone you are allowed to express that (in your case not speaking to family) that is our right of freedom of speech and expression. now, what some people are misunderstanding is when people praise his death that is what makes people the asshole, because that goes against freedom of speech and expression of charlie

you can relate a terrorist to someone sharing their opinion. if you dont like his opinion you had full ability to not listen to his opinion, whereas people cant just avoid a terrorist attack because they didnt like it. it was physically harming. it is crazy to relate the two

If one person is behind constant deadly plots, then stopping them, even with taking out osama bin laden, can sadly be justified if it prevents many more deaths. It’s kind of like self-defense, but on a larger scale…protecting whole communities when capture isn’t realistic. I don’t like the idea of anyone dying, but sometimes one tragic choice can prevent much greater harm.
