Broke up with my ex because I needed to find myself and he didn’t want to help me do it . Went to a bunch of parties but now I’m realizing I liked who I was and I miss him but I think he moved on and idk I think he’s dating someone #comehome

if they don’t wanna be there while you find yourself, then they don’t get to benefit from it

Like- we had been together since I was 15 and I had never really gotten drunk or been to a party and I wanted to try with a bunch of close friends. And he wouldn’t let me go out at all because he had already experienced it and had a pretty bad experience so it was valid he didn’t want me to but also the best way to learn is to do it yourself and honestly it was the best summer of my life

Well if it makes you feel any better you don’t have to justify it with some deep reason lol. Fun can just be fun and that’s perfectly fine. Besides I don’t think it was really your ex’s place to control your social life like that anyway 🚩

Yeah I mean it’s worth saying that what he was asking of you was entirely unfair and somewhat controlling. It doesn’t matter that he did it already and didn’t like it, he’s not you. I think you made the right choice. That being said if you really miss him it could be worth reaching out. Maybe something along the lines of ‘I miss you, do you miss me too? If so I’d love to try again if we can agree to work on some things’

I don’t think enough time has passed for that to be a foolish thing to do. If he’s willing to change y’all could work out

At this point I think the only thing you can do is communicate with him directly, I can’t see many answers coming from trying to read in between the lines. If you never ask you’ll always have doubts. If it means something to you just ask to speak so yall can both know where you stand in solid terms. Worst that can happen is it’s a bit awkward, especially since it seems like yall both care about each other
