The culture here doesn’t entirely revolve around white people. There is Native American culture, African American culture, etc., still flourishing. Where do you think a lot of the southern culture comes from? (2/2)

Also, the history is important to learn and be aware of but that does not take away from the beauty of these traditions, music, food, clothing, etc.

Agreed. I mean, the south definitely gets a bad rep because of the history so you should absolutely be careful (better safe than sorry). But at the end of the day, it is no different then racism. Hating someone or thinking less of their skin color? Hating someone or thinking less of them because of where they were born? Fundamentally the same concept
