I’m a twin and share a car with my sister. We’re 23. My parents have been telling us since we were 16 that they were eventually gonna get us separate cars. Sharing one worked out for awhile, we went to the same college and worked at the same job. But now-

That were graduated we have like… career jobs. My sister works from 7-3 and I start a 9-5 at the end of this week so I really don’t know what my parents had in mind. They knew this day was coming and have had YEARS to prep (they’re giving my sister their old car and buying themselves a new one but they keep pushing it off. They should’ve at least done it our senior year of college)

Nah if they said they were gonna get yall separate cars, then they should keep their word. Ik you’re adults but you’re right, it wouldn’t be fair for one of you to keep the car while the other has to buy one

well they bought one, as most parents do for your 16th birthday. so they’re buying the other one to make it fair bc that would be terrible parenting to buy one child a car and make the other buy themselves one. my sister lied and told our parents that I want our shared car which isn’t true, she just said that bc she thought she’d get a new one. but it’s my mom getting the new one and my sister gets my moms old one, which is still a LOT better than the one we share. also my sister has wrecked the

one we share but i don’t even gaf. this car was promised to me so it’s mine. I’m not wasting my money. they said it’s my car so it’s mine 🤷‍♀️
