If he sees nothing wrong with his actions it shows he sees nothing wrong with abusing a child. Even if he was joking about it that’s not something you joke about with someone you just started talking with, especially when you don’t know their humor and their boundaries. People who act like this are generally testing the waters to see what they can get away with. You’re not obligated to give him your time of day, you were merely talking with no commitments. Ghost all you want, no shame

And probably go to jail. He said something like I don’t care or it would be worth it. I didn’t like this for a multitude of reasons so I said goodnight and didn’t initiate any conversations following (neither did he). Today he texted me “Idk what I did wrong”. Would I be the asshole if I did not respond? I don’t really have the energy to explain to a grown man how comments about beating kids could be a turnoff.

Guys I know he was joking. I did not know him well enough and he did not know me well enough that he should’ve been comfortable joking like that🙄
