OMG I have the exact same relationship with one of my high school friends. And same, no matter what I always tell her happy birthday even if she doesn’t do the same. I’m glad I’m not the only one😭 I thought I was being weird😭.

most ppl dont i just try to put in the extra effort to wish ppl on their birthdays bc u never know if someone is going through smth where it could mean a lot to them so if i can do smth as simple as setting a reminder & sending a msg once a year im gonna do that
