I'd have to choose Studio Trigger. I love Edgerunners, BNA, Little Witch Academia, but they don't hit my top three favorites

I love Bones studio so much. I like a lot of the character designs and they’re not afraid to have dark styles. Something that annoyed me about the Tokyo ghoul anime was that it lost a lot of the darkness that was within the manga because of Pierrot studio’s art style. Bones keeps a bit of that dark feel with their animes I think

Bones and SHAFT have a lock on their distinctive visual styles, plus are just good with direction, music, and other aspects of storytelling/anime production (and for some of my favorite anime, too)

Dang! You took my surprise with Bones, particularly your description of them. Usually, I think of MHA or Noragami, so I don't think of them as gritty anymore

Plus, they both do fantastic jobs with original productions (Darker than Black, PMMM) and not just adaptations; it shows that they have actual narrative chops behind the scenes

The character designs are kinda repetitive, but I like it more than what MAPPA did for AoT characters. Yeah just something about bones is just darker I think. I haven’t seen MHA or Noragami yet, but I have seen darker than black, Snow White and red hair, bungou stray dogs. Obviously they do lighter animes, but the darker ones they have a certain vibe to them that just works and pairs well with the plot

I don’t think I’ve seen anything from Trigger yet. I’ve been pretty stuck on Wit just cause my fav anime is HxH. You’re actually making me curious about who made most of the animes I watch so thanks for that 😅
