He has the most thought out domain by far with the most solid explanation for how the power works. The concept of his cursed technique is also imo the one that makes the most sense and is the most interesting/thought out as well since it’s just mathematical and based on the concept of infinity

I think Gege’s thought process was probably coming up with a power based on infinity, creating a character who uses that power, creating a concept of a power system, creating the clans like the one said powerful character is from, coming up with powers for those other clans, then creating in filler characters

Then the story aspects came next. “Hmm well having the OP guy be the mc has been done too much. Maybe I’ll make him lose. I’ll have him mentor the MC though, and I’ll have the twist be that the MC can house the main villain who beats my OP character and they’re related in some way”

And then the rest of the writing happened from there. He then wrote the peak fight between Gojo and sukuna, but was like “damn I lowkey made this mf unbeatable” so then he had to create the world cutting slash to account for it

Also the more I write, the more I realize the same thing you posted about. I have a character who I originally was going to have act as the mentor/guide to the main character as they train and navigate the world, but then I realized that this op character I have is just significantly more interesting than anything I could ever write for an MC. She has more lore, she has cooler powers, she as a more thought out personality, she has a sister as her foil character like Geto is to Gojo, etc

And similar to gege, the thing I’m struggling with rn is how she could ever beat the main villain without it seeming like some asspull. If she could do it, she would’ve done it already, so there has to be a reason she’s unable to just waltz up and kill him. That means there also has to be something she can work towards to kill him and some reason someone else hasn’t killed him yet. I was gonna have the MC be able to because of their lineage and the power of the indomitable human spirit, but-

-that feels lazy and overdone (the reason this other character can’t do that is bc she’s a vampire and so is her sister)
