Right lol at the time I was like why. Until the final part of AoT. That’s excellent writing because he was rarely shown and had no real relationship with any of the main characters

We agree on the first part. I’m Yeagerist 100% and agree with everything Eren and Floch did and said so to me Floch will always be goated

100% if it means saving your friends and family. No one else matters, ESPECIALLY since they started it. Eren and everyone else should be had their freedom to start with. He’s a true representation of fuck around and find out. It’s why you don’t mess with people because you never know who or what they’re capable of

Ah yes killing millions of innocent lives will totally make up for lost time and freedom. Nice one

Don’t care at all. It insures the safety of who I, or in Eren’s case Eren cares about. No one else matters. Floch was quick to realize that too. Get the world before it gets you. And at the end all the war and shit things in the world came back. I’d sacrifice billions to save the few people I care about that make life worth it every single time without hesitation

You think that and I think I couldn’t be more right. We view things through our lenses and how life has gone for us and how people have treated us. I have 0 reasons to have any faith in people outside of my family and a few close friends. If we had a threat like in AoT and I was told destroy everyone except my family and close friends it wouldn’t take me a second to choose them. I’m sure for people who have better experiences with people it would be much harder.

That’s also what makes AoT so good and a true masterpiece all the different perspectives people have and what they feel like is right and wrong I hate Gabi even though she’s just the Eren on the other side.

gang did you miss the part where eren tried and failed to avoid the future he saw? bro had no freedom whatsoever, that was the whole point. floch did look at the whole situation and went “this but unironically” tho, so i guess that part makes sense

If Eren succeeds without his friends stopping him they live a happy life with no threats outside of the ones who will die soon cause of the titan powers. He eliminates the chance of ANYTHING happening to the people he cares about. They started it he was going to finish it

That makes no sense because no one would do anything to my parents or the few good friends I have. This talk was if I was in Eren’s place and why I agree with him. I can separate anime/fiction from reality. I literally don’t care about anyone else that aren’t the ppl I’ve said I care about talked one way or the other.

I don’t think I’ve said anything that crazy. We will all never be in a situation like AoT anyways. Even though a lot of people would probably go for a more peaceful route, a good amount of people would do what Eren did to save their family and friends from the world than people would like to admit.

The funniest thing about your perspective is that if the story was written the other way around with Gabi as the MC, youd be cheering for the death of Eldians. The entire point of AOT’s ending is that Eren was an immature manbaby selfishly committing genocide against people who had never done anything wrong to him

That’s your perspective. I completely disagree with you. They wronged him from the start and they suffered the consequences. Eren chose his friends and family over the world granted there were sacrifices he had to make. People think there aren’t consequences or when they wrong someone or the consequence won’t be a big deal

My perspective on the ending is that when his friends stopped him and more people started being born and time was moving on the same horrible shit that always happens started happening. Eren’s plan was to save his people his friends and family because the world put him and his people behind the walls to begin with and were planning on getting rid of them eventually.

What you’re saying ignores all nuance in the story. Just like Eren, you are only thinking everything is black and white without any shades of gray. The entire purpose of Gabi’s character is to get the audience to realize that. It was the Marleyan government that Eren had a problem with; not the MILLIONS OF INNOCENTS that just so happened to live outside of Eldia. They quite literally did nothing to him or his friends. But according to Eren, they deserve to die for being born in the wrong place.

I’ve literally already said I only care about my family and the few close friends I have and that the majority of my life people have made my life miserable. Why would I care about a bunch of random people if I was told I could save my family and friends. It’s not even a debate to me and I already said that for people who have had better experiences with people the decision is most likely harder. Why risk it though you(Eren) already were put in a horrible situation because

Of people he and the rest of them didn’t even know existed. If you’re given the power to make sure you don’t even have to risk something happening to the only people you care about. To me, and obviously Eren and Floch it’s a no brainer.

And people are telling you that this way of thinking is fucked up because this is the exact justification people use to commit IRL atrocities against other people in the real world. Besides, from Marley’s perspective, Eren is ALSO mindlessly persecuting them. All you have to do is think literally ONE step beyond “kill everyone that isn’t me” to realize why this might become an issue for you in the future. And that is why Eren is a selfish manbaby

Yea but I don’t care. I used to and never will again. Most people suck anyways. I don’t care if someone wins the lottery or if something horrible happens to them. I will always 100% agree and would do the same thing Eren would’ve done if it meant my close family and friends would be safe. We’re in real life though so it doesn’t matter anyways. I will choose my friends and family over the world like Eren did and Floch following and believing till his death every single time.

You and a lot of others view Eren that way. I view him as justice and doing the right thing for the people that actually matter, his friends and family.

Literally couldn’t care less tbh. I’ve already said I don’t care about people except for my family and close friends. If his planned worked without his friend’s stopping him. All humanity except for his friends and family would’ve been dead, which means they’re safe.

That’s justice to me. They should’ve never messed with him or any of them in the first place. Then none of it would’ve happened

Last thing I’ll say on this: there’s a reason that this is the way that Eren is framed at the very end of the story. Eren HIMSELF feels regret at the end and wants forgiveness. The story is clearly nudging the audience to realize that Eren is aware of how fucked up what he’s doing is, and by extension, we should too. He is literally a pathetic blubbering mess by the end of it all. His whole cool guy act at the end of the series was nothing more than the mask of someone in pain.

“That’s justice” you say about people who did jack shit to him. The Marleyan government can get fucked, I agree, but this has nothing to do with anybody else simply living their lives.

Doesn’t matter, the ends justify the means. The goal would’ve been achieved if not for his friends stopping him. I don’t care how he felt doing it what matters is that he was doing it for his friends and family. And he had followers like Floch who believed in him and agreed with him 100% and if the plan worked they all would’ve been safe

It’s justice to me always will be. Idk how many times I have to say this but I’ll say it as clearly as possible. Everyone on this planet could die right now except my family and close friends and I wouldn’t care. I wouldn’t care if everyone had the most amazing thing possible happen to them. The only people I care about are my family and close friends. If I’m in a situation where there’s battles and they’re not safe and I have the power to destroy most of humanity except for them I will 100%time

Hitler also had followers who believed in him and agreed with him 100%. They were also made to believe that committing genocide was the only way they could be safe. You keep saying “it’s just an anime, it doesn’t matter because this would never happen irl anyways” when it quite literally does happen irl.

Your argument makes no sense because it has nothing to do with mine so you’re arguing something completely different. Eren’s goal was to protect and save his friends and family from the world since they started it. Hitler thought his race was better and started it. It’s not the same thing at all.

Idk how many times I have to say it. My family and my close friends that’s all that matters to me. We live in reality no one is transforming into monsters or shooting beams out of their hands. There are teenagers in America who have more money than most people will see in a life time of work. No one is destroying the world. In reality people got born lucky or they didn’t there is no threat of your friends and family being eaten by titans or energy blasted to death
