SAO gets a lot of its criticism from the fact it’s a bad adaptation that tries to make it for a younger audience Solo leveling gets its criticism from the fact there’s no story

Yes precisely. In both* cases, you got shows that become obviously generic when you see more stuff. So it’s fun to dunk on mid-tier shows as being ostentatiously bad. *For SAO, I felt much more emotional connections to characters/plots throughout the show’s run.

The Solo Leveling manhwa actually had a really good story at the end in my opinion. I definitely agree that the anime hasn’t gotten to the truly good parts yet so it really is nothing but aura farming

solo leveling manwha was still at most mid by the end of it wouldn’t call any part of it really good, entertaining? sure. good story? maybe average at best
